We are now launching a competition to find people in the North East who have quit due to Covid-19 and can help us inspire others to quit. Ts and Cs below:

  • The promoter is: Fresh – Smoke Free North East, Salvus House, Aykley Heads, Durham, DH1 5TS.
  • The competition will run from 2pm on Monday 3rd August 2020  (the "Opening date") until 5pm on Friday 7th August 2020 (the "Closing date") inclusive. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter above by the "Closing date". All competition entries received after the "Closing date" are automatically disqualified.
  • To enter the competition entrants must share their story about quitting within the comment section of the promoter's competition Facebook post on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/freshsmokefree/. The aim of the competition is to find former smokers whose quitting stories inspires other smokers to quit - therefore a condition is that the winners must be happy to participate in publicity (e.g. Facebook and news media) including sharing their story and either supplying a good quality photo or having photographs taken and published.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
  • Fresh or representatives will compile a "shortlist" of competition entrants and we will talk to those on the shortlist to find out more about their quitting story before deciding winners. This could include a face to face meeting, a telephone conversation and requesting independent verification that the winners were smokers
  • The winners will be selected from a draw of valid entries on Friday 14th August 2020    ("Draw date").
  • By entering the competition entrants agree to be contacted by Fresh or representatives acting on behalf of Fresh.
  • The winners will be notified in writing by Fresh or representatives on behalf of Fresh.
  • If the winners do not respond by 5pm on Tuesday 18th August of being notified by the Promoter or rejects their prize, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  • The winners agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant's prior consent.
