Keep It Out
Keep It Out was the latest campaign from the North of England Tackling Illicit Tobacco for Better Health Programme, running in both the North East and North West.
All tobacco is harmful but illegal tobacco is a particular danger to children and young people as it enables them to smoke.
Official HMRC figures show the illegal tobacco market has halved in the last decade, but the sale still represents a problem in some areas, getting children hooked and reducing the financial incentive to quit.
The campaign followed on from two phases of the successful Get Some Answers campaign which raised questions like “how do our children afford to smoke?” with a much more direct call to action to inform on illegal tobacco dealers.
